Trailer music

Above we have the music that we will be using for our teaser trailer. A very important factor which went into the choice of this music was the fact it was copyright free. (As stated on YouTube.) This means anyone can use  this music without breaching the rules of law, therefore we took this upon ourselves to take advantage of the artist's piece of work.

Our influential trailers that we looked at had a big influence on what we wanted to choose for our own piece, I was inspired by how a soundtrack could have such a big effect to intensify what was happening on screen, therefore I took it upon myself to find music which not only suited the theme of our trailer, but maximised the feeling and emotions of what was being shown on screen. An influential trailer of mine which used this asset to its full effect was Inception. It used dramatic and and fast paced music where necessary to pump the audience with a rush of adrenaline something that would attract them to further pursue the film.

Something I also was impressed by in the inception was the trailer was not just the way the music sounded, but also how in parts f the the trailer the music was actually manipulated in post production to further reinforce the filmography. An example of this can be seen in the image above, the character has just been submerged in water and as this is happening the music   Instantly i wanted to try and take this aspect into our trailer and its something which I managed to do. There's a part of the trailer when a bullet whizzes past a characters, resulting in him being disorientated, not only did I slow the pace of the shot down, and discoloured the film, I also faded the music out and gave it an echoing effect. reinforcing the idea to the audience that the character has been put into a poor state of mind. However I soon after rushed the shot further and pumped back the music, at a more ferocious and loud point in the song, as the character recovered, suggesting the anger of the man, and giving the audience a rush of adrenaline.
